TrendStar Advisors is the advisor to the TrendStar Mutual funds where Tom is the Lead Manager of the TrendStar Small Cap and American Endeavor funds. Tom was previously a Senior Vice-President with Kornitzer Capital Management where he was co-lead manager of the Buffalo Small Cap, Mid Cap, Large Cap and USA Global funds and the sole manager of Buffalo Science and Technology Fund.
Tom also served as a Senior Engineer at Martin Marietta in Denver, and was a Staff Engineer with TRW at the Johnson Space Center in Houston and at TRW's Space Park Facility in Redondo Beach. While an engineer, Tom dealt primarily with spacecraft design and navigation. Prior to joining KCM, he was a technology analyst with Waddell & Reed in Overland Park, Kansas. In addition to his frequent appearances on CNBC, Bloomberg and CNN television programs, he has appeared as a special guest on "Louis Rukeyser's Wall Street."
Tom is a Senior Member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics and holds an MBA from Indiana University, a Master of Science in Aeronautics and Astronautics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science, with highest distinction, in Physics from the University of Kansas.

James was previously a Vice-President and research analyst with Kornitzer Capital Management. Prior to joining KCM, James worked as a senior analyst with Hewlett-Packard's pension organization and in the corporate finance department at Agilent Technologies. His career also includes working as a manufacturing engineer at General Electric.
James has been quoted in many leading business publications, including Business Week, Forbes, Bloomberg, Dow Jones, CBSMarketwatch and has been a guest on Bloomberg radio. He earned an MBA in finance from Indiana University, and a Bachelor of Science, with honors, in Mechanical Engineering from Wichita State University.
